“畜禽养殖管理官员研修班”项目情况简介


  一、项目基本情况
  受中华人民共和国商务部委托,中国农业大学将于2008年10月13日至11月1日在北京举办“畜禽养殖管理官员研修班”,研修班工作语言为英语。
  本次研修班采取专题讲座与实地考察相结合的方式,重点讲述中国畜禽产业布局、畜禽养殖管理发展的历史和发展前景、中国农村畜禽养殖政策、畜禽养殖管理模式、中国与国际畜禽养殖管理经验、畜禽养殖与农业和农村发展等方面,并概括介绍该领域的重点技术,发展程度和取得的成就,其间还安排各国学员介绍本国畜禽养殖情况。
  主要培训内容包括:中国畜禽养殖的产业布局和畜禽养殖政策;中国与国际畜禽养殖管理经验;奶牛、肉牛及禽类的养殖技术与管理;中国概况;畜禽营养管理;畜禽疫病控制与管理;新饲料和饲料添加剂应用技术;畜禽养殖环境工程技术等方面。
  研修期间,还将安排学员赴山东青岛、烟台等地参观和考察。两地区具有不同的地域及气候特征,通过考察可更多地了解中国不同地域的畜禽养殖管理模式。其间还将组织学员与烟台农业局官员、青岛农业大学师生、及山东省地方行业管理部门和企业之间座谈交流、探讨合作,与发展中国家共享经验,加深友谊,促进双方友好合作。
  此次研修班的招生对象为非洲国家从事畜禽养殖管理的政府官员与管理人员,每个国家招收1-2名学员。
  举办地及参观考察地气候情况:十月的北京气候宜人,是一年中的黄金季节。日平均气温20℃,最高气温32℃,最低气温8℃,早晚温差较大。山东青岛、烟台两地10月气候也很舒适。青岛十月平均气温在17℃左右,最高气温26.2℃,最低气温8℃。烟台十月气后与青岛基本相同。与北京相比,青岛、烟台两地十月份空气湿度略高,非常宜人。
  请各位官员来华前备齐应季服装及生活用品及雨具。

  二、 承办单位基本情况
  中国农业大学是我国现代农业高等教育的起源地,至今已有103年的历史。 学校共设有13个学院,涉及9大学科门类。学校拥有19个国家重点学科、14个部级重点学科、2个国家重点实验室、18个部级重点实验室、4个国家级研究 中心、9个部级研究中心。中国农业大学师资力量雄厚,现有1490余位专职教师中有中国科学院及中国工程院院士10人,教授403人,副教授645人。
  中国农业大学国际农业培训中心设备齐全,具有优秀的项目管理团队。中心自成立以来先后邀请500多位国内、外专家到中心讲学与交流,共举办 中以国际农业技术培训班65期,我国援外国际培训项目12期,包括非洲国家农业灌溉管理研修班、加勒比及南太国家南南合作农业技术研修班等。十几年来,中心为国内培训高技术农业人才近3000人,为发展中国家培训人才300多人。通过各种培训与交流活动,提高了中国和发展中国家的农业技术水平,促进了农业领域的技术合作与交流。

SEMINAR ON ANIMAL HUSBANDRY MANAGEMENT


  1. General Information
  The Seminar on Animal Husbandry Management is sponsored by Ministry of Commerce, P. R. China and organized by International Center for Training in Agriculture, China Agricultural University. The seminar will be held from Oct. 13 to Nov. 1, 2008 and lectures will be delivered in English. The seminar includes lectures, case studies, discussions and field trips. A country report prepared by participants will be presented at the seminar.
  The lectures will focus on the following topics: brief introduction of China; distribution of animal husbandry industry in China; the development history and development prospect, the animal husbandry management in rural China (policy & management model); the development and management experience of animal husbandry production in China and in the world; the key technologies related to feed, nutrition, disease control and environment engineering techniques in animal husbandry production and management; the impact of animal husbandry industry on agriculture and rural development, etc. 
  In addition, participants will have opportunities to visit Qingdao and Yantai in Shandong Province. Climate and rainfall are different in the two provinces. Visits to these places will show participants different methods of animal husbandry management in China. Discussions and exchange activities with local government officials, experts and students of universities, related management sectors and enterprises will also be organized to seek the possibility for future cooperation. The seminar aims to strengthen the friendship, develop collaboration in animal husbandry sectors, and promote economic and trade cooperation between China and African countries.
  This Seminar is designed for senior officers and administrators from African countries who are working in animal husbandry management and animal husbandry project management. One or two participants from each country will be welcome to attend the Seminar.
  It is the golden season of Beijing in October. With Average of 20℃, the temperature varies greatly from 8 ℃ to 32℃ in Beijing. Light clothing is appropriate for most of the days; a jacket and long sleeves are also necessary. Weather in Qingdao, and Yantai are also very pleasant in this season. The average temperature in October in Qingdao is around 17℃, temperature varies from 8 ℃ to 26.2℃. The climate in Yantai is quite similar with Qingdao. However these places are more humid and rainy than Beijing in October, raincoat or umbrella might be needed. Participants are expected to prepare suitable clothes and personal necessities before traveling to China.

  2. Introduction of China Agricultural University (CAU)
  China Agricultural University (CAU) is the origin of modern agriculture higher education in China with 103 years of history. CAU is composed of 13 colleges involving in nine categories of agronomy, engineering, science, economics, law, literature, medicine and philosophy. In addition, CAU owns 19 key state disciplines, 14 key ministerial disciplines. A number of key labs were also established in CAU including 2 key state labs, 18 key ministerial labs, 4 state research centers, and 9 ministerial research centers. CAU is proud of having a strong and highly qualified faculty team with 1,490 members in total. Among them, there are 10 Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 403 professors and 645 associate professors.
  The International Center for Training in Agriculture of CAU is equipped with modern facilities, and its staff has demonstrated high potentials and initiatives in project management. Since its establishment in 1993, over 500 Chinese and foreign experts have been invited to deliver lecturers or take academic exchanges in the center. The total of 65 Chinese-Israeli international training courses in agriculture and 12 international training courses for the developing countries have been successfully organized by the center, including Seminar on Irrigation Management for African Countries, South-South Cooperation Seminar on Agriculture Technology for Caribbean and South-Pacific Countries, and etc. Approximately 3000 high-level agricultural technicians and project managers in China, and over 300 participants from the developing countries have received various training at the center. All the training activities attach high importance for the development of agricultural technology and management and promotion of technical exchange and cooperation in agriculture between China and the developing countries.
