啤酒生产及其管理国际培训班简介
一、项目基本情况
受中华人民共和国商务部委托，大连工业大学将于2008年6月25日至7月24日在中国大连举办“啤酒生产及其管理国际培训班”，培训班工作语言为英语。
本次培训班的主要内容是：介绍中国和世界啤酒生产和发展现状，世界啤酒行业供需状况分析，中国主要啤酒企业格局，啤酒关联产业与要素分析，啤酒生产企业的管理方法的专题讲座；探讨啤酒酿造基本原理、啤酒大麦种植技术，啤酒花的种植和加工技术，啤酒酿造基本技术和设备，啤酒酵母与发酵技术，啤酒后处理，特种啤酒酿造技术，啤酒副产物的综合利用和处理，啤酒检验和品尝技术，啤酒酿造相关标准规范的专题讲座。培训班将邀请中国啤酒行业相关资深专家、大连工业大学发酵专业教授、学者为学员授课。该培训班采取课堂教学与实地考察相结合的方式，培训期间，将安排学员参加大连啤酒节( 中国国际啤酒节)，参观和考察中国大连周边的大型啤酒企业，山东省青岛国际大型啤酒企业还将安排学员进行实际啤酒酿造操作和实习，以使学员对现代中国有更全面的了解，更好地理解所学知识，以便在未来工作中更有效的处理有关啤酒企业的管理和与中国同行的交流，进一步促进双方友好合作。
此次培训班的招生对象为发展中国家啤酒行业政府行政和企业管理部门的司处级官员或中青年业务骨干，限每国1-2人。培训班期间大连及实习考察地日平均气温在19℃－25℃之间； 外省市考察地山东省青岛市7月份日平均气温在24℃-26℃；大连是世界上最适合人类居住、旅游的城市之一。大连啤酒节(2008年7月17日-28日举行)是中国的啤酒盛会。
二、承办单位基本情况
大连工业大学建于1958年，地处中国大连市区，目前，学校在校本科生12262人；硕士研究生670人，外国留学生50人，涵盖文、理、工、艺35个专业，其中发酵工程专业为辽宁省重点资助学科，已成为行业内和东北地区有较大影响的具有自己的特色的优势专业。经50多年的努力，在啤酒酿造研究和教育方面，在中国北方享有较高的声望，已成为啤酒酿造研发和人才的培训基地。
大连工业大学大力开展国际间的校际交流与合作，目前与美国、英国、法国、加拿大、澳大利亚、新西兰、日本、韩国等20多个国家和地区的30多所大学和企业建立了合作关系，学校聘请了诺贝尔化学奖获得者科特•伍思里奇博士为名誉教授。

Seminar on Beer Production and Management
1. General information
Entrusted by Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, Seminar on Beer Production and Management (BPM) will be held in Dalian during June 25 --July 24 of 2008 by Dalian Polytechnic University (DPU). English is used as working language of this training program. The training program includes lectures on topics related with introduction to modern China, the current beer production of the world, the analysis of supply-demand in beer industry, the distribution and the production of beer industry in China, the analysis of major related industries and elements to beer production; topics related with beer materials and brewing techniques, such as introduction to the principle of beer brewing, barley growing, hop growing and process, barley malting, water and wort preparation, yeast and beer fermentation, beer conditioning and carbonation, special beer brewing, treatments for beer by-products and waste water, beer quality monitoring and judging, related standard and regulation to beer. Senior experts from beer industry, professors and scholars at DPU and other Chinese institutes will be invited to give the lectures mentioned above. In the meanwhile, the way of combination of room lecturing and field visiting will be applied to this program and participants not only can brew and taste their own making beer, but also will have chance to take part in Dalian Beer Festival (Chinese International Beer Festival) and visit some beer enterprises in Dalian area and Yantai, Shandong Province, and remote rural area in Jinzhou and Yixian, Liaoning Province to have a better understanding of China for the further cooperation with Chinese partners.
This program is designed for the participants who are government officials of division director level or director level and chief executive officer of enterprises. The quotas of participants from a country should be one or two.
The program will be held in Dalian, one of most suitable living cities in the world, where the average air temperature ranges from 19-25℃ with a coastal climate during the program. For visiting cities, the average air temperature in July is between 24℃ and 26℃ in Qingdao, Shangdong, Province.
2. Introduction to Dalian Polytechnic University
DPU was founded in Dalian in 1958 with a mission to develop and deliver educational and research programs. Until October, 2007, 12260 undergraduate students including 50 from foreign countries are being hosted in four different majors, and 670 graduate students into 10 master programs. DPU is recognized nationally and internationally for its distinguished faculty, innovative programs of study, and pioneering achievements in teaching, basic and applied research. Particularly fermentation engineering in College of Bio & Food Technology is the program favored and supported by the Laoning Province Government. DPU has established regular academic exchanges and cooperation with more than 30 universities from 20 foreign countries and regions, such as the United states, Britain, France, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Korea. Kurt Wűthrich, 2002 Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry accepted the honorable professor from DPU.
