计算机软硬件及网络技术培训班项目情况简介
一、项目基本情况
受中华人民共和国商务部委托，贵州科学院将于2008年7月8日至8月6日在贵阳举办“计算机软硬件及网络技术培训班”，培训班工作语言为英语。本次培训班的主要内容是：中国基本国情介绍、中国经济、中国历史文化介绍、计算机软硬件技术及网络技术的基础知识及应用技术等计算机业务专题讲座。培训班将邀请计算机领域著名的教授和研究员，包括中科院院士、联合国大学国际软件研究所高级研究员、专家、学者为学员授课。该培训班采取课堂教学与实地考察相结合的方式。培训期间，将安排学员参观和考察贵州省相关企事业单位及城市网络建设项目，还将安排学员赴黄果树瀑布、天星桥、凯里苗寨、天河潭等景区进行实地参观，以使学员对现代中国有更全面的了解，更好地理解所学知识，以便在未来工作中更有效地学以致用，进一步促进双方友好合作。此次培训班的招生对象为亚洲、南太以及加勒比等地区国家的政府机关、学校、科研机关、企业等部门从事计算机或信息技术研究和实际应用的中青年业务骨干，每国1至2人。培训班全程安排在夏季，贵州夏季7-8月份的气温估计在22℃－28℃之间。
二、承办单位基本情况
贵州科学院直属于贵州省政府,是贵州省唯一和最大的综合性自然科学研究机构，下设贵州省植物园、贵州省生物研究所、贵州省喀斯特资源环境与发展研究中心、贵州省理化测试分析研究中心、贵州省冶金化工研究所、贵州省新材料基地、贵州省新技术研究所、贵州省工程复合材料中心和贵州省生物资源研究开发中间试验基地9个县处级单位。贵州科学院创建于1935年9月。贵州科学院现有职工780人，在职职工400人，科技人员299人、管理人员91人，其中科研人员中具有高级职称53人、中级职称113人、初级职称123人。中科院院士1人、省管专家、百千万人才工程、享受国务院津贴专家、博士生导师、享受省政府特殊贴专家、省优秀青年科技人才、博士等高层次人才45人。此外，还聘请了相关专业的10余位国内外知名专家和资深学者担任客座教授。
贵州科学院受中国商务部等部委的委托，已多次就计算机软硬件及网络技术举办过各类短期培训班。自2000年以来，贵州科学院已成功举办过一系列计算机方面的国际学术会议和培训班。例如，2003年，成功举办了“2003年中国国际计算机软件技术课程培训班”,有来自25个国家的36名学员参加；2004年，成功举办了“2004年中国国际计算机软件技术课程培训班” 有来自23个国家的52名学员参加；2004年9月成功“第一届国际计算机理论学术研讨会”，有来自19个国家和地区的专家、学者参会；2007年，成功举办了“2007年非洲国家计算机软硬件及网络技术培训班” 有来自22个国家的41名学员参加。这些学术研讨会和培训班受到各国专家和学员的一致好评。

Introduction of“2008 China International Training Course on Computer Software / Hardware / Network Technology”
1. General information
Entrusted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, “2008 China International Training Course on Computer Software / Hardware / Network Technology” will be held in Guiyang during July 8 — August 6 of 2008 by Guizhou Academy of Sciences (GAS). English is used as working language in the course. The program includes lectures on topics related with introduction to China’s basic national conditions, China’s economy, China’s history and culture, etc.; and the course of basic learning and applied technology of computer software / hardware / network technology etc. The training course will be conducted by famous professors and researchers, including an academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and senior research professors and specialists from the International Institute for Software Technology of the United Nations University. In the meanwhile, the way of combination of class lecturing and field visits will be applied to this program, and participants will have chance to visit some sections of government organs, enterprises, city network project etc. Besides, participants will be invited to take study tours to the Great Huangguoshu Waterfall, Tianxing Bridge, Kaili Miao Minority Stockaded Village and Tianhe Pool, so as to let participants have a better understanding of modern China, and a better understanding of the training course in an effective way of comfortable circumstances to study, hence to enhance future friendly cooperation.
This program is designed for the participants of middle age and young people who are researchers and practitioners of the computer and information technology from industries, academia, universities and governments of Asia, South Pacific Ocean and Caribbean countries, with 1-2people from each country.
The program will be held in summer, as in Guiyang city, the temperature ranges from 22～28℃ during the program.
2. Introduction to GAS
Guizhou Academy of Sciences (GAS), directly under the Government of Guizhou Province, is the only and largest comprehensive science and technology research organization in the province. Affiliated to GAS, there are set 9 county-level institutions: Guizhou Botanical Garden, Guizhou Biological Research Institute, Guizhou Karst Resources Environment and Development Research Center, Guizhou Physical Test & Chemical Analysis Center, Guizhou Metallurgical and Chemical Engineering Institute, Guizhou New Material Base, Guizhou New Technology Research Institute, Guizhou Composite Engineering Material Center and Guizhou Biological Resources R & D Pilot Trial Base. GAS was founded in September 1935.
GAS has 780 personnel, of which 400 are in service, and the latter is divided into 299 scientific and technical personnel and 91 managerial personnel. Of the scientific and technical personnel, 53 persons have senior title of technical post, 113 persons have middle-rank title, and 123 persons have elementary title. Of them, one is academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and 45 are distributed into senior talents of: provincial registered specialists, “Millions and Thousands Talents”, specialists who enjoy special central and provincial government allowances, tutors of postgraduate candidates, young promising scientists and technicians, and doctors. Besides, more than 10 famous and senior specialists and scholars home and abroad are invited to be visiting professors in the related specialities in GAS.
Entrusted by the State Ministry of Commerce and other Ministries, GAS has held several short-term training courses on computer software, hardware and network technology. Since the year of 2000, GAS has successfully held a series of international academic conferences and training course in the field of computer science, including the 2003 China International Training Course on Computer Software Technology with 36 participants from 25 countries, the 2004 China International Training Course on Computer Software Technology with 52 participants from 23 countries, the First International Colloquium on Theoretical Aspects of Computing (2004) with specialists and scholars from 19 countries or regions, and the 2007 International Training Course for African Countries on Computer Software / Hardware / Network Technology with 41 participants from 22 African countries. All these training courses and academic seminars or conferences are favorably commented by international specialists and participants.
